Parade Rules/Guidelines

The Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Parade Committee thanks you in advance for your contribution to the success of our parade and charities.


·      Alcohol is not permitted in the staging areas, and no one should be carrying an open container of alcohol along the Parade route.

·      No stopping along the Parade Route, other than natural stops with the Parade progression.

·      Please have all marchers in presentable attire.

·      No performance in front of the bandstand at the Cathedral.

·      No throwing of treats or goodies by your members or from vehicles. You must have people walking alongside the vehicle to distribute any treats or goodies.

·      No commercial advertising is allowed without prior written approval of the Parade Committee.

·      It is vital that you stay where your Division leader places you and that everyone in your group follows the directions of the Division leader.

·      Entrant hereby acknowledges:

o   The Parade may be seen on social media, televised live or tape delayed, videotaped, covered on local and national news broadcasts and there may be publicity on and for the entrants.

o   Parade organizers may utilize entrant name and parade photographs for publicity and further waives and releases any and all claims or causes of action arising from, related to, or in connection with any such publicity or other media coverage of whatever nature.

By participating, you agree to what you have read above regarding alcoholic beverages, photography/videography, the cutoff date, stopping along the parade route and distribution of treats or goodies by your members or from your vehicles.

Failure to comply with these rules may/will result in your removal from this and future parades.
