Parade Information

The Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on MARCH 23rd 2024!
We look forward to seeing everyone!

All Participants will be lined up in the parking lot on Sunrise Hwy between North Long Beach Road and North Forest Avenues. Each Participating Organization’s Contact Person will be given specific instructions via email from the committee as to where, and at what time they should report and line up. The Order of March will be posted on the day of the Parade at the entrance of Parking Lot 12 on Sunrise Highway and N. Long Beach Road. There will be Parade Members in each of the staging areas to assist you with where to locate your group.

There will be no parking along the Parade Route and on North Long Beach Road between Sunrise Highway and Water Street. The roads along the staging area and the Parade Route will be closed to vehicular traffic at approximately 10:30 am and starting at 9 am for Jefferson Avenue. The streets will reopen at approximately 2 pm after the Parade is completed. A few days prior to the Parade the RVCPD will Post the streets that are involved.

The Parade in its entirety will take 2 hours.

Portable Bathrooms will be placed along the Parade Route. There will be no parking on these streets nor will vehicles other than official/emergency vehicles be able to travel on them. The Rockville Centre PD will be manning the barriers and providing security for the Parade.

We remind our Parade Viewers to stay behind the Police Barricades for safety and abide by all the Village of Rockville Centre Ordinances.

Other than the Official RVC St Patrick’s Parade Vendors, no vendors will be permitted to sell Merchandise along the Parade Route.

There will be Handicap Parking available in the Municipal Parking Lot off Front Street behind the Grandstand. Handicap Portable Bathrooms will be located in the same area. General Parking will be available in all other Municipal Parking Lots (please check the Rockville Centre Village website for locations, .www/rvcny.us/ParkingMap.html). The Village of Rockville Centre is serviced by the LIRR, please check the LIRR website and by Bus, check with the MTA Long Island.

Parade Rules

The Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Parade Committee thanks you in advance for your contribution to the success of our parade and charities.
We have been asked by the Rockville Centre Police Department to remind you that alcohol is not permitted in the staging areas, and no one should be carrying an open container of alcohol along the Parade route.
There is to be NO stopping along the Parade Route, other than natural stops with the Parade progression.
Please have all marchers in presentable attire.
There will be no performance in front of the bandstand at the Cathedral.
There will be no throwing of treats or goodies by your members or from vehicles. We have had too many incidents of small children running into the street toward the vehicles. You must have people walking alongside the vehicle to distribute any treats or goodies.
Entrant acknowledges that the Parade may be seen on social media, televised live or tape-delayed, videotaped, or covered on local and national news broadcasts and there may be publicity on and for the entrants.
Entrant does hereby authorize the parade organizers to utilize the entrant's name and parade photographs for publicity and further waives and releases any and all claims or causes of action arising from, related to, or in connection with any such publicity or other media coverage of whatever nature. No commercial advertising is allowed without the prior written approval of the Parade Committee.
By participating, you agree to what you have read above regarding alcoholic beverages, photography/videography, the cutoff date, stopping along the parade route and distribution of treats or goodies by your members or from your vehicles.
I agree to follow the guidelines mentioned above and to communicate this information to the members of my group.
Failure to comply with these rules may/will result in your removal from this and future parades.
