Thomas Mahoney, proprietor of MacArthur Park Restaurant, was born in the Bronx and raised in Valley Stream. He and Donna, his wife of 43 years, raised their three children in Rockville Centre. All three went to school locally – St. Agnes, Chaminade, and South Side High School.
He has been serving the Rockville Centre community, in various capacities, since 1972. He was the former manager of the RVC Little League, which he continues to sponsor, and an active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He has hosted countless charitable events for families in need and, when his restaurant was one of the awardees of the RVC St. Patrick’s Parade “March for Small Business”, he donated all of the money, which was meant to help the business cover expenses during the COVID pandemic, to his employees. Thomas was also named Nassau County Businessperson of the Year and has been a staunch supporter of the RVC St. Patrick’s Parade’s myriad fundraising events.
Mahoney, who is now a proud grandfather to six, now resides with his wife in Island Park.
